Christian Education We would like to invite you to come be a part of the Christian Education program at Burns UMC. The following are opportunities for you to get involved: VBS Mission Project - The Serengeti Trek groups are partnering with World Vision and the International Bible Society, to provide school supply kits for children in Africa as a mission project. Contact: Melba Taylor 303-246-6190  Sunday School is from 8:45-9:30 on Sunday Morning. The Children and Youth Education Team is pleased to announce the new curriculum for this year, Live B.I.G (Believe in God). This is an exciting program geared to help children learn biblical principles, bible verses and learn about God in their lives. The children are divided into developmentally appropriate classes to be learning the same lesson, but at their specific level of understanding. The classes will have a lot of variety: crafts, games, snacks, theatre, dance and even sign language. Each week, children will learn a new bible verse and how it can apply to their every day lives. Children will bring home their craft projects and a song book and information for parents about the lesson and how to reinforce the ideas in the lesson at home. This curriculum was picked because of its Bible-based themes, variety and quality of materials. Parents can expect that children will be well supervised and children will always be in the care of at least two adults. Come and join us as we live B.I.G. and learn the 3 BIG TRUTHS: God is a great BIG god; God loves us with a great BIG love; and we are part of God’s great BIG world. Visitors are always welcomed and parents are always invited to join in the fun. Breakfast is at 8:30 and we begin at 8:45. To register, please contact the Church office or any teacher before class. Classes are held downstairs.  In addition to our Children's Education program, we offer many opportunities for adults to get involved. The following adult classes are currently meeting on Sunday Morning from 8:30-9:30: Adult Bible Study Class: Conference Room. Meets at 8:45 AM, each Sunday Morning. - Leader: Sandy Tinney The Seekers - Meets at 8:45 AM, each Sunday Morning. Currently studying "History of Christianity" We meet in the Parlor. Leader: Jim Berry Young Adults: Studying, "The Book of Mark." Fellowship God, is a class that discusses modern writings as they relate to our faith and experiences in this world. Current topic "Case for Faith" by Lee Stobel Leader: Ken Barber Discovery Class: Dates to be announced _________________________ Bible Study - Please join Pastor, Will Morris, on Thursday night at 7 PM. for Disciples in Training, book study in the parlor annex. The topic, "The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth That Could Change Everything", by Brian D. McLaren. All are welcomed, as the sessions are a time of learning, listening and sharing together.
